If you select "When you click the extension" for the "This can read and change site data" permission, you'll be prompted with "Reload this page to apply your updated settings on this site" every time you use the extension.

Solution 1:
Confirm Reload twice when you are prompted to reload the page.
Solution 2:
1. Right-click on our extension icon.
2. Navigate to "This can read and change site data" and change the setting to "On all sites".
