If the recording does not work in our Chrome or Edge extension, please provide details via Feedback in our extension.
After receiving your feedback, if we cannot figure out the reasons, you may be asked to provide the following information:
1. If any of the options of Desktop, This Tab, Camera Only, or Custom (This Tab) is not clickable
2. If all options in our pop-up menu are clickable, but the Start Record button isn't responding
3. If clicking Start Record takes you to the next step, but recording does not actually start
1. If any of the options of Desktop, This Tab, Camera Only, or Custom (This Tab) is not clickable:
Please provide the Console information from the pop-up menu of our extension.
1) Right-click anywhere in the interface of our extension pop-up window.
2) Click Inspect
3) Please provide us with a screenshot of the entire screen or copy and paste all messages shown in the Console. You can set a delay for the Entire Screen & App Window option to capture the Console information using our browser extension.
2. If all options in our pop-up menu are clickable, but the Start Recording button isn't responding:
Please provide the following details:
1) Right-click on the page that you want to record, click Awesome Screen Recorder Screenshot in the context menu, and click Record Screen or Record Tab.

2) Record by shortcuts shown on the pop-up menu.
Can this method of recording by the shortcuts work?
If recording from the context menu and/or recording by the shortcuts work, but the Start Recording button isn't responding, please provide the Console information of the pop-up menu of our extension by following 1) to 3) in 1.
3. If clicking Start Recording takes you to the next step, but recording does not actually start:
Please provide the following details:
1) If you chose to record the Desktop, did a prompt window that asked you to select recording the Entire Screen or a Window appear?
2) Please provide the Console information from both Service Worker and Record.html.
a. Provide the Console information in "service worker".
b. Provide the Console information in "record.html".
Note:
Before the issue is resolved, you can create a new browser profile (such as a new Chrome profile) and install only our extension. Typically, the issue won't occur on a fresh browser profile.
