When the remaining space of the system disk of your computer where your browser files are usually saved is less than 2GB, the notice of "The temporary storage capacity of your computer's local disk is nearly full. Please free up some space to continue recording" will prompt.
Reason:
We just released our V3 extension version. In this version, when saving the recording to Cloud/AwesomeScreenshot.com, it will be automatically saved to a temporary disk under that browser file on your computer. The temporary file will be automatically removed from your browser after the recording is fully uploaded to our Cloud.
The purpose is to avoid data loss. In the past, if a user's internet connection was unstable or very slow, some parts of the whole video or the entire video might not be uploaded to our Cloud.
Solution Method 1: You can use Awesome Screenshot extension for various browsers such as the AwesomeScreenshot Edge Add-on.
Solution Method 2: You can use the AwesomeScreenshot website recorder.
Solution Method 3: Uninstall or delete apps that you haven't used recently to free up space on your computer's disk (usually disk C) where that browser's files are saved.
Solution Method 5: Before the clearance is successfully conducted, you may use our desktop app for Windows or Mac to record.

When you use Awesomescreenshot Desktop App for Windows, if you select to save your recording to Cloud/AwesomeScreenshot.com, the recording file that is temporarily saved in the default folder or the folder you set will be automatically removed after the recording is completely uploaded to our Cloud.
If you select to save the recording to Local/your computer, the recording file is saved in the default folder or the folder you set forever unless you delete it.

When using the Awesomescreenshot Desktop App for Mac, if you choose to save your recording to Cloud/AwesomeScreenshot.com, the temporary recording file that is stored in a temporary folder on your computer will be automatically removed after that part is uploaded to our server. The entire recorded video will be uploaded to our website in small parts, minimizing the space occupied by the temporary file on your computer. Therefore, there will be no temporary storage issues.
