A. For Awesome Screenshot Chrome Extension, Awesome Screenshot Edge Extension, and the extensions for other browsers that support Chrome extensions.
Method 1 (Recommended):
- Click the extension icon located in the top right area of your browser.
- Click the Stop, Pause, or Discard button.
Method 2:
Use shortcuts. You can set the shortcut combination in Options.
You can also open the following URL:
chrome://extensions/shortcuts
Method 3:
Click the "Stop sharing" button that appears in the bottom of your screen to end the recording if you are using the Desktop/Screen recording mode.
Method 4:
Click the Pause/Stop button on the Control Bar to halt the recording if you have enabled the Control Bar.
B. For Awesome Screenshot Firefox Extension
The only way to pause or stop a recording initiated by our Firefox extension is to click the Pause or Stop button on the recording web page.
C. For Awesome Screenshot Safari Extension
Method 1:
Click the Pause or Stop icon in the Awesome Screenshot Desktop App for Mac, located in the menu bar at the top right of your screen.
Method 2:
Hover your cursor over the Stop button beside a recording to reveal a side toolbar with Pause and Stop icons.
