"Why am I unable to overlay my face/webcam image on a recording/video?"
A. If you use our browser extension/add-on:
In the Desktop > Window recording mode, currently we are unable to embed/include the webcam image/your face into the recording, because the camera image is treated as a separate window.
Solution:
To include your camera image in your recording, select a compatible mode such as Desktop > Entire Screen, This Tab, or Custom.
B. If you use our website recorder:
Currently, we are unable to embed/include your webcam image/face in the recording if you select the recording modes of Desktop > Window or Desktop > Browser Tab.
Solution:
Choose the recording mode of Desktop > Entire Screen to embed the camera image into a recording.
C. If you use the AwesomeScreenshot Desktop App for Windows or AwesomeScreenshot Desktop App for Mac:
Solution:
Choose the recording mode of Selected Area and select the window area to embed the camera image into a recording.
D. If you tried the above solutions and are still unable to include the webcam image/your face:
There may be an issue with your webcam.
Solution:
You can try using an external webcam and select the external camera before recording.
