When you choose to save screenshots and recordings to Local, your screenshots, annotated images, and recordings are stored in your current browser. You can manage saved items in Local history.
To prevent any possible data loss, download them to your computer or upload them to Awesome Screenshot promptly.
Files stored in your browser will be permanently deleted if you:
- Uninstall the Awesome Screenshot extension.
- Delete your browser profile or the extension’s stored data.
- Delete the files from Local history or Local history settings.
If you set a retention period under Options → Local history, images older than that period will be deleted automatically.
Deleting these local files does not affect copies you’ve already downloaded to your computer or uploaded to Awesome Screenshot.
