How can I record a video with 4k resolution on Mac?
We recommend you use AwesomeScreenshot Desktop App for Mac to achieve a 4k resolution easily. Afer the APP is installed on your computer, please click the icon of AwesomeScreenshot, select Record, and then choose 4k resolution.
Why is the recording effect not 4k even though I chose 4k resolution to record on Mac?
If you use our extension/add-on for different browsers, such as Chrome, due to limitations in that browser on Mac, selecting the Desktop/Screen recording mode with 4k resolution will result in a recording effect of only 2k resolution. To achieve a 4k resolution, please select the This Tab recording mode instead and record in WebM instead of MP4.
If you use our extension/add-on on various browsers like Chrome and have to choose the Desktop/Screen recording mode to capture the entire screen in 4k resolution, please connect an external monitor (not your built-in display) to your MAC. Then, click on Displays in Settings and select "More Space" (not "Default").
